Lysverket is located by the Kode
museums and overlooking the Lille
Lungårdsvann in the heart of Bergen.
Through the windows you can see the
lovely park and the Bergen mountains
beyond.
The restaurant opened its doors in
2013, by - among others - a chef with
background from top restaurants in
New York and a pop star from Bergen.
The focus is on fresh seafood and
produce from farmers around Bergen.
For dinner you have a choice between
a four and seven course meal, while
during lunch there is an a la carte
menu with sandwiches, soups and
salads.
In the afternoon and evening, you can
also order from the a la carte menu in
the bar area of the restaurant. When
in Bergen, don't miss the Bergen fish
soup.
Every plate is beautifully presented
and tastes great. If the Michelin
inspectors where to find Bergen on
their map, Lysverket would be one of
their top candidates
The interior design is modern
Scandinavian, creating a relaxed
feeling. The bar goes along the room,
and serves locally brewed beer and
cocktails with local fruit juice.
